I started on my Invisalign Journey to Perfect Smile!

Growing up, I always wished I had perfect straight teeth like my sister! But everyone would compliment that my 😁teeth gave me that cute Jap face! 

I love to smile & they always say my smile can light up the darkest places. 

Until watching THE global makeup video I 📷filmed on E! Entertainment for Sephora, i made up my mind! And so my #Invisalign journey began~ 

No, I didn't choose Invisalign because it's MORE expensive (cost: $8-10k) than traditional braces. Over that Chanel bag. 

I didn't choose #veneers cos that's too shortcut!

I easily chose Invisalign for 3 main reasons:

1) Avoid ulcers

2) Image: Look less like an adolescent

3) Won't get veggies stuck in between

1 year on, as compared to traditional braces, #Invisalign is a tad slower. Instead of metal on the teeth, I have 12 little resin attachments to my teeth. 

During mealtimes, I must remove my "aligners" (retainers alike) before I can eat. Initially it was such a disruptive new thing in my snack-loving life. Optimum wear 22 hours but I still scrape through daily with 18hours! Now I'm so used to it, part of me.

And yes 1 more year to go!

My Invisalign Journey

Today is exactly 1 month since I embarked on my Invisalign journey! 

Extraction of 4 teeth & wearing my first set aligners. Already 2 sets (which means 1 month) have been completed. 

Doctor added attachments to my teeth...so now got little bumps on my teeth! Looks kinda weird if not gross really, feels abit bulky (like I'm eating something in my mouth) & now it feels much tighter with my 3rd set of aligners. 

He said those attachments are to move my teeth easier next time, might even turn it around if need😱 sounds scary but anyway...got to do means got to do right? Trust him anyway. 😊

He attached the "tooth-colored" stuff to the molars & canines that need movement & closing up the tooth gaps eventually. 

He's ever so assuring so I just gotta focus on the final positive outcome! 

He told me not to be conscious about it & just be natural! ;)

Hahaha I will try my best man! 

And yes! I just confirmed with him- he told me it's 18weeks to perfection! So it's actually 1.5years for this journey, in the name of vanity & beauty. I know it's worth it. 

So 14 weeks more to go! Woohoo~ baby, fighting!!! 😍👏👏👏

Cozycot X Freshkon Review

This is something that has become part of my life now.
So much so that without thinking about it, it's a necessity.
What am I talking about?

YES its my beloved FreshKon cosmetic contact lenses!

I have been wearing it for 15 years (OMGGGG I just used my calculator to calculate!)! And none of the other brands gave me such total comfort & colors like FRESHKON! The ONLY BRAND I TRUST MY EYES IN IS FRESHKON!

I have always been a vain girl and vanity is my middle name! So very early, I have started wearing contact lens since I was in college days. Then my first job I started wearing FreshKon Colors Fusion lens, I still remembered FreshKon Colors Fusion in Misty Grey is always my favorite! All the guys say they can't help but gaze into my eyes... yet they are afraid because my eyes look seductive they lose their senses! LOL ;p

Becoming a true blue FreshKon Official Ambassador & Makeup Artist seems to be the MOST NATURAL THING! I had the pleasure & honour to work with FreshKon lens for an event while working at Sephora as their Trainer. The FreshKon Team is a breeze to work with! After that, I also did a photoshoot lookbook for them & their magazine/ newsletter! It is my pleasure to be their Official Ambassador. The Oculus team people are such an honour to work with. I love my FreshKons.
I have tried so many other brands such as Acuvue, Maxi Eyes, Geo Lens... yet nothing like FreshKon for a refreshing pair of eyes! Lol ;)
I always boast to my friends that my lenses are so comfortable and last throughout the day till past midnight!

MY EVERYDAY ROUTINE includes reaching out for FreshKon Alluring Eyes 1-Day Lens everytime I go out. There are 3 colors - Mystical Black, Winsome Brown, Magnetic Grey &....and my #1 favourite is "Mystical Black"! They also have a more subtle black shade which is only available in the monthly modality.

A lot of people wear the lens too black or too big, making their eyes look spaced out instead of attractive. I like FreshKon lenses as it feels as though you didn't wear anything but your eyes are beautifully enhanced!
Especially on days when I worked late into the nights and wake up with tired droopy eyes, I am very blessed to have FreshKon to brighten & perk up my otherwise tired eyes!

Black is also my go-to color because it matches any of my eye makeup I wear - be it colors or style I am dressed in. For meetings - I wear Mystical Black for its professionalism.
For conducting classes, I wear Mystical Black for its endearing personality & instant confidence. For weekends, I chose Winsome Brown for its subtle simple beauty! For fashionista days, I choose "Magnetic Grey"!

Just last thursday I was in Bali for a conference & training event, I took my FreshKon lens with me!
A few times I was traumatised when my solution got confiscated at the customs checking my handcarry on short vacations! The thought of no lens to wear for the next day or how to contain my lens at night!?
And those times when i was going to an island or resort where shops are scarce and perhaps 1-2hours away... can be quite mood-spoilers!

So I am super THRILLED when FreshKon launches its cosmetic lens available in black, grey & brown in the "DAILY LENS" version: "1-Day" Alluring Eyes!
How convenient never to worry that my solution will exceed 100ml in my handcarry & get confiscated! Here are some gorgeous photos from Laguna Beach Resort & Spa in Nusa Dua Bali where everyone there so warm & friendly just like the weather! ;) I felt like a celebrity whenever they greet me every metre of the resort! ^_~ Thumbs up for that awesome first-class service in a five star resort. Laguna resorts are owned by Starwood Hotels Group, who brings you St Regis Hotel too, one of my top favorite hotels!

Product Review: Etude House NEW Organic "I'm blooming" cleansers

Am very excited about PINK stuff!

Always enthused about testing out & researching new items in the market! So much so that sometimes even if it mean staying up late to compile information about beauty products, I would gladly chuck my pillow aside and do it forgetting the time. 

Hence really looking forward to Korea's famous brand, Etude House's range of cleansers under "I'm Blooming" collection. 

Yes all baby pink bottles! 👶

The 3 bottles are 100% Tested Organic & Natural.

From left to right: Moisture Cleansing Foam, Brightening Wash-off Gel & Clear Cleansing Water.

#1: MOISTURE CLEANSING FOAM

What it is:
This lotion like formula bubbles up to create a moderate white lather.

What it does:
Gently removes impurities & trapped dirt in pores & gives hydration at the same time. This lotion like formula bubbles up to create a moderate white lather.

How it works:
Dispense a 50-cent sized of the formula and cleanse face in circular motions. Wash off thoroughly. 

My Experience:
Although it looks & feels like a lotion, but the texture after cleansing would be more ideal for those with combination to oily skin types as it helps remove excess oil sebum & dirt in enlarged pores.
I am more of a normal dry skin type, so ain't really what I am looking for. 

#2: BRIGHTENING WASH-OFF GEL

What it is:
This transparent gel has the similar texture of the well known "Ginvera exfoliator"/ Exfoliating Gel. Contains jasmine & rose extracts for brightening results.

What it does:
Effectively removes dead skin cells & smoothen skin surface.

How it works:
Dispense a 50-cent sized of the formula and exfoliate damp face in small circular motions to work the dead skin off, especially nose sides. Wash off thoroughly. 

My Experience:
It looks rather mild & soft. Yet with the exfoliating "fibre-like" particles in the gel when massaging, the result is my skin reveals a brighter smoother skin texture after about 3 mins of massage.
I quite like the resulting smoother skin texture. ;)

#3: CLEAR CLEANSING WATER

What it is:
This colorless clear water is a highly effective makeup remover, even the most stubborn waterproof makeup comes off quickly.
It is also a non-rinse formula. 

What it does:
Effectively removes all traces of makeup without tugging or rubbing.

How it works:
Pour cleansing water onto a cotton pad. Sweep across the makeup outwards from chin upwards to remove makeup. For eyes area, press gently on eye makeup to allow for dissolving. 

My Experience:
Effective at removing the last trace of makeup without the oiliness. 
Also easily removes my waterproof mascara as I wear that everyday.
Definitely my favorite out of the 3!!!

OVERALL

Etude House is known for their girlish packaging and I am obsessed with pretty packaging too! Which girl doesn't?! 

My top fave product is "Cleansing water" because it is super convenient & really effective, oil free and easy to use.

RECOMMENDATION:

Moisture Cleansing Foam -> Suitable for very busy people who want to look well-groomed. Skin type = Combination/ Oily

Brightening Wash -off Gel -> Can enhance uneven skin tone with this gel in the morning and oily/combi skin. Skin type = Various

Clear Cleansing Water -> Great for fuss-free makeup removal. Great for those with adventurous thrills ahead!

Product Review: OLAY Regenerist micro- sculpting cream Moisturiser

People who know me know that I am all keyed in when the subject "ANTI-AGING" comes up!

Ask anybody "Which makeup artist or beauty guru doesn't look anywhere near her age?" and most people who know me has my name pops up in their heads!



WHY DO I LOOK SO YOUNG?
2 Saturdays ago, I was standing at The Arena, Clarke Quay before my friend signing us in, I was asked to show my IC! (AGAIN?!!! as always, I am the only one out of my group, any group of friends, even though younger than me, I will end up being the one to be checked IC!) Haha I look a good 10 years OFF my age!
 

There's no wonder I am in FASHION & BEAUTY LINE! They always say, I am a walking advertisement & everything on me just looks so gurrd. ;p

I always fantasize of a day I will stand before the TV screen in front of everyone and tell all my beauty youthful SECRETS with YOU! ;) That would be awesome, isnt it? *Can't wait!
Everyone knows I am very generous.

Every beauty guru out there knows & will continue to try out beauty products. For me, its more for market research. I need to know what's out there and to share with my clients & bridal customers when they enquire about their beauty routine. Hence the need to try out all kinds of beauty products out there! ;)


SOMETIME 2 WEEKS AGO....

I was given the great chance to try out the new OLAY Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream Moisturiser,
touted to renew the skin and plump up the skin to firm & tone.

Opening up the huge jar of cream & anticipating....

THE PACKAGING
I like the red color. It kinda reminds me of SK-II luxury brand feel. The heavy jar seems to promise something great inside!

THE SCENT
Taking a whiff at the white cream, I take in a faint floral scent that is pleasant & easy to the nose. I like creams that smell like these. Not like overwhelming.

THE TEXTURE
It has this smooth rich texture, quite like ice cream. ;) Smoothing it onto the back of my palms and it absorbs quite easily & quickly, quite unexpected for a cream like this.

THE EXPERIENCE & THE RESULTS (After 2 weeks' trial)
I used it for 2 weeks every night and my skin feels slightly firmer around the jawline where I focus on with this micro-sculpting cream. My skin is also calm & not oilier than usual the morning after, although I noticed a slightly glowing outlook in midday.

RECOMMENDATION
Would recommend this cream to those who wants an affordable cream and to achieve a firmer & toned skin. Probably would need around 90 days to see the results as skin is regenerating every 30 days, depending on your age. It's said that as we pass age of 35 years old, the skin regenerates in only 60 days, instead of 28days!!! So better start some anti-aging going on ladies & gentlemen!


Ideal age to start anti-aging: 
I would suggest...
22 years old (as technology advances & our quality of food supply these days, our skin lacks many nutrients it needs. So start preparing yourself on guard against aging!)
