"What can I do?" he says. "You can only do your work and let people believe what they want. I work my hardest because I know what it takes to be a champion. I know what I want and I'm focused on what I need to do to win."

after enduring unfamiliar adversity, he has become mentally stronger. "Yeah, definitely. It gets annoying but, after a while, you get used to people making their own comments and just judging you. But I'm always positive. I know what I want. I know what I am capable of. But it makes you stronger when you have to work so hard to get better and you have to go through all these trials. So I don't stress. I just focus on what is necessary."

Was Bolt shocked to suffer successive defeats to Blake? "You can't say it's a shock. For me, it's good to have your eyes opened wide. To have ups and downs so you can really evaluate what you did wrong or what you need to do to get back where you need to be. It was extremely good it happened at the trials so I could refocus.

"My hunger is always there," Bolt says coolly. "Things happen throughout the season that throw you off sometimes but you have to learn from your mistakes. I just need to put things in place to make sure it doesn't happen at the Olympics. I just try and get over it and get my confidence up to a level where I'm comfortable at the Games."

Bolt was not physically at his best, and struggling with a tight hamstring, but he refuses to excuse his successive losses in Jamaica. Great sprinters, after all, require great rivals to lend gravitas to their legacy. 

"I've definitely worked hard for these Olympics," Bolt says. "Really hard. You have to put a lot behind you and it's all about sacrifice. You must sacrifice a lot."

LADUREE x Uniqlo Sweetest Tees for Girls

My eyes totally literally lit up at the online post I saw that day written abt this collab! Quickly went over to uniqlo website to check out the laduree collection and loved it! They are oh too cute to resist or wait for! Especially when I'm always into the cute pastel tees matched with shorts, skorts, skirts & leggings/ skinny pants for casual off work ensembles.

LADUREE is a must-visit best in the world french macarons boutique/ pattiserie to grab some colorful pretty pastels melt-in-mouth sweeties (its subtly sweet, not as nauseating sweet as some macarons out there) while strolling after lunch in Paris! I was having it everyday whenever I was in Paris. ;) And love the French pattiserie decor that makes any unromantic person become all romantic gushy mood!

When I heard LADUREE is opening its 1st singapore outlet here on Apr 15 @ Takashimaya, I was yelping with glee!!! OMGGG finally it's happening!
And they collaborated with Uniqlo to launch a cute macarons collection droolworthy! Moreover, profits from proceeds of tees will be donated to IVY charity in Japan, helping children affected by 2011 Tsunami Japan.

Can u imagine how excited I was?? ;))) Though already pretty tired after workshop, yet I went down from IP to ION to get my must-have sweet fix!

So haha guess which one (s) I got??

Product Review: OLAY Regenerist micro- sculpting cream Moisturiser

People who know me know that I am all keyed in when the subject "ANTI-AGING" comes up!

Ask anybody "Which makeup artist or beauty guru doesn't look anywhere near her age?" and most people who know me has my name pops up in their heads!



WHY DO I LOOK SO YOUNG?
2 Saturdays ago, I was standing at The Arena, Clarke Quay before my friend signing us in, I was asked to show my IC! (AGAIN?!!! as always, I am the only one out of my group, any group of friends, even though younger than me, I will end up being the one to be checked IC!) Haha I look a good 10 years OFF my age!
 

There's no wonder I am in FASHION & BEAUTY LINE! They always say, I am a walking advertisement & everything on me just looks so gurrd. ;p

I always fantasize of a day I will stand before the TV screen in front of everyone and tell all my beauty youthful SECRETS with YOU! ;) That would be awesome, isnt it? *Can't wait!
Everyone knows I am very generous.

Every beauty guru out there knows & will continue to try out beauty products. For me, its more for market research. I need to know what's out there and to share with my clients & bridal customers when they enquire about their beauty routine. Hence the need to try out all kinds of beauty products out there! ;)


SOMETIME 2 WEEKS AGO....

I was given the great chance to try out the new OLAY Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream Moisturiser,
touted to renew the skin and plump up the skin to firm & tone.

Opening up the huge jar of cream & anticipating....

THE PACKAGING
I like the red color. It kinda reminds me of SK-II luxury brand feel. The heavy jar seems to promise something great inside!

THE SCENT
Taking a whiff at the white cream, I take in a faint floral scent that is pleasant & easy to the nose. I like creams that smell like these. Not like overwhelming.

THE TEXTURE
It has this smooth rich texture, quite like ice cream. ;) Smoothing it onto the back of my palms and it absorbs quite easily & quickly, quite unexpected for a cream like this.

THE EXPERIENCE & THE RESULTS (After 2 weeks' trial)
I used it for 2 weeks every night and my skin feels slightly firmer around the jawline where I focus on with this micro-sculpting cream. My skin is also calm & not oilier than usual the morning after, although I noticed a slightly glowing outlook in midday.

RECOMMENDATION
Would recommend this cream to those who wants an affordable cream and to achieve a firmer & toned skin. Probably would need around 90 days to see the results as skin is regenerating every 30 days, depending on your age. It's said that as we pass age of 35 years old, the skin regenerates in only 60 days, instead of 28days!!! So better start some anti-aging going on ladies & gentlemen!


Ideal age to start anti-aging: 
I would suggest...
22 years old (as technology advances & our quality of food supply these days, our skin lacks many nutrients it needs. So start preparing yourself on guard against aging!)

Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Serum

Hi everyone!
Here's my beauty product review of Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Serum.

Recently I have been using this ANR eye & face serum for 2 weeks now...

I really like Advanced Night Repair Eye Serum's light texture. Its not heavy or thick or rich like most eye serums and goes on my skin pretty well & absorbs quickly! It's too early to see a huge difference yet although i felt my eye area looks smoother & felt slightly firmer around the eye contour. I am currently using it under my own anti-aging eye cream and it's working well together! ;) 

I will continue to use it and will update results after 1 month of application. 

As for the Face Serum,
it has the similar lightweight texture like the Eye serum but more fluid-y.
After 2 weeks of using it, I noticed my laugh lines aka expression lines around my lips has seemed lighter and less obvious. If you have concerns like powder caking in the expression lines, this booster serum might work in reduction of the lines, hence the caking up issues.
I felt that makeup stayed on longer and better the next morning and skin looks more radiant and supple tone.

haha now I can camwhore more with more beautiful skin!

If you are looking to boost your current skincare routine, you may want to incorporate the face serum by applying it before your serums. It helps accelerate your anti aging routine!

As compared to Lancome Genefique, I feel the ANR is slightly easier to absorb due to the lightweight texture!

On Monday morning 10AM, I was at SPH News Centre KISS92 Radio Station studio doing a recording with my old friend, DJ Maddy and sharing about tons of makeup tips!
As you know, I am very excited whenever you ask me about makeup. I am someone who you can even wake me up middle of the night, asking beauty questions and I will tirelessly enthusiastically answer all your questions! ;)



I had so much FUN recording!
Its an impromptu look "POWER BROWS" we decided to ride on! The IT look all A-lister celebrities & supermodels are wearing on their faces off-duty, on red carpets & on the runways.
Nadirah & KISS team video-ed me transforming Maddy's face with the Power Brows WOW!

Are Power Brows going to stay or go? My personal take on this trend is gonna be as long lived as the ultimate Smokey Eyes & Nude Makeup on the runways too!

WHY???

Power brows, as many didn't know, can make you look suddenly YOUNG, almost erasing 5-8 years off your face! Wow! What an easy anti-aging method, ladies! Oh it isnt just for the ladies!
I personally love thick brows on guys cos I think its really sexyyy!

And you know what? The classic style icon, Audrey Hepburn is the ultimate representation of this look way back then in 1960's. Doesn't she look endearing?

Since Spring 2012, we see lots of repeats in this trend on all the fashion shows and we can't say enough! Cara Delevinge, IT supermodel has brought it back to fame again and many celebrities too!

I always teach this in my makeup workshops, sharing with the ladies, the "1950s overly plucked, highly arched brows" are so DATED passe and oh please, kindly "bring your brows out of the house"!

Brows frame the face like photoframes for the pictures. It anchors your facial features and add strong dimension and impression, making a positive impact with people you meet. People will find you more trustworthy & steady with a pair of nicely groomed brows. Well image you may argue as superficial, guess what? The subconscious mind is at play all the time!

If you are in the sales industry or need to meet people & negotiate deals, definitely brows are your anchors to succeed in power of persuasion!

• how to line your eyes with the surefire easiest technique
• how to apply blush and not look like a clown or puffer fish
• why using a primer is so critical to look fresh all day!
